The Master of Clinical Nursing is aimed at graduates seeking a career in nursing who have a three year degree in another discipline.
The program will provide professional knowledge, skills and attitudes that underpin the role of the Registered Nurse and develop competencies for practice as determined by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council.
On successful completion of the Master of Clinical Nursing graduates will be eligible to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.

The first year provides foundational, theoretical and professional concepts, and fundamental knowledge and skills of nursing practice. Contemporary nursing care is introduced in a variety of health care contexts.
The second year of the program advances professional and contemporary knowledge and skills moving to more complex health problems.

A pre-requisite of Human Biology (Level 1) is required to gain entry to the Master of Clinical Nursing either via previous University Level 1 program or via successful completion of an equivalent program. An example of an equivalent program is the Human Anatomy course available on www.nursing.unimelb.edu.au/ (University of Melbourne).
