Through this double degree graduates can combine the concepts of telecommunications engineering with finance enabling them to confront challenging and exciting careers.
Telecommunications technologies are shaping the way in which people access news and information relevant to our lives, communicate with family and friends, play computer games and drive the so-called information economy.
Telecommunications engineering is concerned with the technologies that underpin modern voice, multimedia and data communications.
Telecommunications engineers are responsible for the design, construction, maintenance and evolution of systems from business data networks to global voice and data communications.
Relevant technologies include: transmission systems such as optical fibre, satellites, cellular networks, Internet protocol networks and digital television; digital representation of audio, video and other multimedia; and the control, design and analysis of massive communications networks.

#Students who have not passed SACE Stage 2 Specialist Mathematics are required to enrol in MATHS 1013 Mathematics IM as a prerequisite to enrolling in MATHS 1011 Mathematics IA. The satisfactory completion of MATHS 1013 Mathematics IM is in addition to the normal requirements of this program.
Courses to the value of 3 units from the following:
Unless exempted by the Faculty, all international students are required to undertake a specialist course ENG 3003 Engineering Communication EAL. This course must be completed in the first semester of study and will be presented in lieu of another course as determined by the Faculty.
Courses to the value of 36 units from the Bachelor of Finance as follows:

The availability of all courses is conditional on the availability of staff and facilities.

As part of the engineering degree, students are required to complete 12 weeks of approved practical experience.
