This program provides a challenging and stimulating learning environment where all students may expand their knowledge and awareness of music technology and digital sound/media. The program provides a thorough grounding in Specialist Studies (Digital Audio Studies, Midi Studies, Music Technology, Technology Journal, Recital), Core Studies (Aural Development, History of Commercial Music, Theoretical Studies, Composition Class, Keyboard Musicianship) and General Studies (Music Industry and Business Management, Assignment Writing and Research Skills, Occupational Health and Safety).
The Certificate IV in Music (Technology) is a recognised pathway feeding into both the Sonic Arts and Popular Music and Creative Technologies specialisations within the Bachelor of Music.
