  • Program Outline

    The Graduate Certificate in Economics is designed to provide training in theoretical and applied aspects of modern economics and econometrics to graduates of other disciplines.

    The program is particularly suitable for managers and key decision makers who wish to expand their understanding of economic principles and applications.

    Students enrolled in the Graduate Certificate are required to undertake intermediate level courses to the value of 12 units. 

  • Program Structure

    students choose four courses from the following: Econometrics IIID*, Intermediate Microeconomics A IID, Resource & Environmental Economics IIID, Public Economics IIID, International Trade and Investment Policy IID, International Finance IIID, International Economic History IIID, Intermediate Econometrics IID*, East Asian Economies IID, Development Economics IIID, Game Theory IIID, Intermediate Macroeconomics IID, International Trade IIID, Intermediate Mathematical Economics IID*, Money, Banking & Financial Markets IIID, Economic Statistical Theory IID, Intermediate Microeconomics B IID, Macroeconomics IIID, The Econonomics of Climate Change, Advanced Mathematical Economics IIID*, Thinking Strategically IID, Managerial Economics IIID.

    *students are reminded that some mathematical and statistical background is desirable for these courses.
