- Program Outline
This program introduces students to theoretical foundations and practical skills of counselling and psychotherapy. An integrated series of courses provides students with a broad knowledge base, professional preparation introduction to counselling and psychotherapy skills.
The program has been designed to fit the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) guidelines.

Students complete 4 core courses in Counselling and Psychotheraphy and 4 elective courses in thematic areas in Counselling and Psychotheraphy.

Additional Entry Requirements
Satisfactory academic performance within the Graduate Certificate of Counselling and Psychotherapy program.
Applicants are required to submit a CV/resume and a 500 word statement outlining their motivation to undertake the program. Applicants should forward their statement and resume (including their SATAC reference number) to: Counselling and Psychotherapy Program Coordinator, Discipline of General Practice, University of Adelaide, SA 5005 or email to Jacqui.Howard@adelaide.edu.au.
Applications will also be required to participate in an interview with academic staff from the Discipline of General Practice.
