Environmental engineers may be involved in environmental modelling and management, remediation of degraded environmental systems, water sensitive urban design, integrated catchment management, environmental impact assessment, water resources management, pollution control, waste management or the planning and design of engineering facilities to minimise their impact on the environment. This degree offers candidates the chance to specialise in cutting-edge technologies aligned to their career pathways. It is suitable for engineering graduates who wish to pursue further studies, as well as engineers with relevant work experience. Successful candidates may articulate to the Master of Engineering.
This 24-unit program includes 9 units of core courses designed to provide generic skills in statistics, numerical analysis and project management, which are applicable across all fields of engineering. The remainder consists of 12 units of discipline specific courses that provide additional technical material and a 3 unit elective.
