The Bachelor of Economics program usually takes three years to complete. Students who obtain good results may apply for entry to the Honours program. This is particularly useful for students who wish to continue with their studies in Economics and take research-based programs such as the Master of Philosophy or the Ph.D. Completion of an Honours degree opens up more options for specialist positions in economics, including in government and business. Honours graduates have also taken the first step towards more advanced studies in the field.
