This program is designed for those seeking a Masters degree in business studies with a focus in the law. The Master of Business Law will provide business professionals with a competitive, high quality, and flexible coursework Masters that expands their current horizon. Applicants must hold an undergraduate degree. Entry is competitive and selection will be on the basis of academic merit. Normally a successful applicant would have achieved a credit average or better in their undergraduate degree.

A foundation Law course which provides the background for your study:

• LAW 7157 Introduction to Business Law

The remainder of the program consists of ten courses chosen from the list of Law courses. It is possible to include courses from other disciplines within the University, subject to approval by the Program Coordinator. Seminar-style teaching is employed, with one course usually involving 24 hours of classes over a twelve-week semester. Some courses are taught during the evening or on weekends, while other courses may be taught intensively over two or more weeks.

There shall be four classifications of pass in any course for the Masters degree: Pass with High Distinction, Pass with Distinction, Pass with Credit and Pass.

A candidate who has failed a course twice may not re-enrol in that course except by special permission of the Faculty and then only under such conditions as may be prescribed.
