  • Program Outline

This is an online program and international students are not eligible to apply for a student visa.

Senior Business Managers work in a complex, dynamic and international environment. The Master of Business program provides in-depth coverage of the core areas of business and provides students with a global perspective to their studies.

The Master of Business is designed for students from all academic backgrounds who wish to gain a solid foundation in business education (including exposure to economics, accounting, finance, marketing and management). It also allows students the ability to focus on a specific area of business specialisation (international business, strategic marketing or management) that suits their career goals.

For students who have no background in tertiary business studies, this program provides an excellent foundation in business skills, necessary for career progression in many public and private organisations.

A global perspective is embedded into each course with real life case studies and examples, lecturers with international experience, and specialty courses focused on international business environments (for example, international marketing and international human resource management).

  • Program Structure

The Master of Business is a 12 course 36 unit program. Each term will have a duration of 10 weeks. Students will be able to choose a specialisation or choose a General Master of Business in the latter half of their program. Current specialisations include: International Business, Management, or Strategic Marketing. Students will take the six core courses first and then choose either specialisation courses or a mixture of electives to complete the Master of Business degree.

The Master of Business is a nested award. It has two exit points for those who choose not to complete the full Masters; the Graduate Certificate in Business (four courses, 12 units) and the Graduate Diploma in Business (eight courses, 24 units). The Graduate Certificate and the Graduate Diploma also serve as entry points, with successful completion of these awards permitting students to progress to the higher level awards. For example, successful completion of the Graduate Certificate will permit students to continue with either the Graduate Diploma or Masters.
