The Law School at The University of Adelaide and the Faculty of Law at the University of Mannheim jointly offer a Master of Comparative Law. Students spend up to one semester at Adelaide and one semester at Mannheim and undertake a dissertation at their home institution.
The program enables students to study the different systems of law throughout the world such as common law, civil law and Islamic law. It also enables Australian students to obtain a more detailed understanding of the legal framework in the European Union. It will be conducted entirely in English but some Australian students proficient in German may choose to study in that language in Germany.
