This program is under review and will not be offered in 2013.
- Program Structure
The Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy comprises 24 units. Students will be able to select an area of speciality such as: General Counselling, Grief, Loss and Trauma, Grief and Palliative Care, Mental Health or Lifestyle and Well-being.
6 units will comprise a supervised field placement in a counselling agency setting relating to an area of speciality. Other 3 unit subjects will be: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Trauma, Interpersonal Therapy and Narrative Therapy plus electives.
Students wishing to proceed to a PhD are able to apply for a research pathway which will consist of 12 units of research methods plus a 12 unit thesis.
