The University's business programs have been awarded a five year international accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) http://www.aacsb.edu/accreditation/
AACSB accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in business education and has been earned by less than 5% of the world's business schools.
This means the University of Adelaide's Business Degrees are recognised internationally for their high quality and successful graduates.
The University of Adelaide Business School prides itself on its prestigious Business School partners across Europe, Canada and Asia. Students will be encouraged to consider taking either a full semester of exchange overseas to enhance their international business education or if time is of the essence short term summer or winter courses can be considered.
The Business School has partners with Aarhus School of Business in Denmark; Aalto University in Finland, ESCP_EAP in Paris, Audencia School of Management in Nantes, France, Leipzig and the European Business School in Germany, HEC_Montreal in Canada and various universities in America and Asia.
Students that meet the eligibility criteria set out by Adelaide Abroad will have the opportunity to discuss an exchange study plan with the Program Director to best suit their career aspirations.
Enrolment may also be approved in languages and the work integrated project, or internship program on a case by case basis.
Students with fluency in a second language may be eligible for an international internship with the option to enrol in a major market-based Research Project in International Business overseas for a semester of full-time study. An international internship of this nature cannot be taken in an international students home country. The requirement is met by a supervised work program conducted at an organization outside Australia. Foreign nationals may intern with organizations in Australia. The director of the International Business Discipline will assist students in locating internships. Students are encouraged to be active participants in this process.
The internship must be for at least one semester of full time work and must be related to the student’s program of study. Fluency in the business language of the host country must be established before being approved for an internship. Certification of fluency is by examination or by completion of the recognised business communication skills in the relevant language discipline provided by an accredited Australian language training provider e.g. Alliance Francaise. All internships must be approved in advance by the director of the International Business Discipline.
