The Australian School of Petroleum is Australia's pre-eminent centre of excellence for petroleum geoscience and engineering research, education and training. The School has strong links with industry, and senior industry personnel teach specialist units in the coursework program.
The degree increases student knowledge in the essential areas of petroleum geology and geophysics and trains students to use industry-standard techniques and software.
This is a 24-unit program, comprising 12 units of coursework and 12 units of research.
Every candidate for the degree must complete the compulsory courses in petroleum as well as a thesis on an approved research project.
