The Graduate Diploma in Bioinformatics is designed to develop skills in a variety of aspects of bioinformatics. Students will be exposed to a range of analytical approaches and develop highly competitive bioinformatics, research and project management skills. Student with recognised prior learning in the core areas of the programme may extend their studies into areas such as advanced algorithms, analysis of 'big data' and IT commercialisation.

    Graduate Entry A completed Bachelor degree or equivalent with a minimum GPA of 5.0

    The completed degree must be in the field of either Mathematical, Computer or Natural Sciences (or equivalent).

    In addition, at least the following courses (or equivalent) must have been completed: - Maths 1A and Maths 1B,
    - Introduction to Programming,
    - Introduction to Biology/Biochemistry/Chemistry/Physics.
