The Graduate Certificate is ideal for managers who wish to take an introductory management program, or those who wish to acquire new skills without a lengthy time commitment.
Applicants who do not have a bachelor degree but who have a minimum of 7 years relevant work experience, including a number of years at management level, must complete this program before enrolling in higher level programs.
After successfully completing the Graduate Certificate, students may then apply for entry to the Graduate Diploma of Business Administration, followed by the MBA or MBA (Advanced) program. The 4 courses already completed will be credited towards the higher level programs.
Trimester Teaching Sessions
Each course (subject) is delivered over a 12-week trimester. There are three trimesters each year.
After Hours Teaching
Most classes are scheduled to accommodate full-time working professionals. Classes are generally held on weeknights, with one 3-hour teaching block per week. Some compulsory core courses are delivered fornightly on Saturdays, in a 6-hour teaching block.
Assessment of courses usually comprises an individual assignment, a group assignment and an examination. Some courses also include student participation in the classroom as an assessable component. Students must pass all pieces of assignment in order to pass a course.
