DIATOMA can digitally capture images of the diatom species in your samples. If you are interested in learning to monitor your own diatom assemblages we can email you an image portfolio of identified species specific to your sites using the current nomenclature.

You can then identify the species and, with the published identification guides, monitor the condition of your stream or wetland. 
 

Furthermore, for an annual subscription of AUS $400, we can provide on-line identification support of images you capture or scan.
