Biography/ Background

I am a Research Librarian in the Barr Smith Library at the University of Adelaide (of which I am a graduate) and am responsible for Library services to students and staff in the areas of French Studies, Philosophy, Linguistics and Media.

I am happy to answer your questions about Library policies, procedures and services generally and to provide advice on research techniques in my specialist subject areas to undergraduate and postgraduate students.

I have created comprehensive resource guides for my subjects on the Library website and also maintain many of those sections of the website that describe the Library's services, resources and collections. In addition, I am responsible for many of the Library's publications.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Adelaide in 1967, majoring in English, French and Philosophy. Subsequently I completed Honours English at Flinders University, majoring in Anglo-Saxon literature under the supervision of Professor Ralph Elliott. I worked as a professional librarian at the State Library of South Australia and the Flinders University Library, before beginning my career at the Barr Smith Library in 1977.
