Biography/ Background

Alex is a contractor currently involved as a Web Developer in the University’s "Corporate Research Systems" team working on the ORBIT applications which consist of Student Profiles, Project Reporting, Research Profiles and Bio-Compliance.

Alex has an extensive background in open source and web related technologies including Ruby On Rails, HTML, CSS and Javascript.  

He has a particular interest in usability and developing desktop-like applications for the web, application frameworks and in reusable components.
