  • Biography/ Background

    I am currently a Professorial Research Fellow in the School of Agriculture, Food and Wine, The Faculty of Sciences, externally funded by the Grains Research and Development Corporation and the Division of Mathematical and Information Sciences of the CSIRO. The research involves statistical methods in plant and animal molecular genetics.

    From 1997 I was Director of BiometricsSA, a joint initiative of the School of Agriculture, Food and Wine and the South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI). I was seconded to set up BiometricsSA from the Department of Statistics (now part of the School of Mathematical Sciences) and have remained at the Waite Campus.

    Statistical genetics, statistical modelling, mixed models, statistical inference, applied statistics (in Agriculture and Biological Sciences)

    I have been an Associate Editor of Biometrics, Statistical Modelling and the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Statistics.
