Biography/ Background

Barbara works on The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business
(AACSB) accreditation project. The focus of her work is the evaluation of the
business curriculum and its impact on student learning.

Member of the Order of Australia 2009
For service to international humanitarian aid through contributions to refugee
resettlement and migrant assistance programs in South-East Asia and Australia,
and to the community.
Award for Cultural Change in Engineering Education 2003
The Australasian Association for Engineering Education


Research Interests

Her PhD research examined teaching programs she had developed for second language students in various disciplines, in particular their learning experiences as a result of the inclusion of dialogic learning - the use of extensive class discussion, debate, interaction etc - into each curriculum
