Biography/ Background

I hold a BSc in Forestry and a MSc in Forestry major in forest resource management with geographical information systems both from the University of the Philippines Los Banos. I have also done coursework on soil science from basic to advanced soil microbiology, soil physics, soil chemistry, pedology, land resources and land use.

I have previously worked at the Ecosystems Research and Development Bureau of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources in the Philippines. Currently, I am on study leave from the Department of Foresty and Environmental Sciences, Cavite State University where I am a faculty researcher.

I hold a John Allwright Fellowship from  the Australian Centre of International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) as a PhD researcher.

My present collaborations are with researchers from the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) and the Flinders University of South Australia.
