Bill Winser has taught in schools in Australia and the U.K., and lectured and researched in universities in Australia, the U.K., the U.S. and China.
His professional interests include language development and teaching, English as a Second Language (ESL), literacy generally and academic writing in particular. He also engages in the editing of academic theses and reports. His publications are in the fields of school literacy, ESL and its cultural background.
His qualifications are in Education, Classical studies, and Applied Linguistics, and he has research and teaching interests in school and academic literacy, together with ESL, in which he is particularly interested in Asian learners studying in Western settings.
