Dr Bo Jin
To link to this page, please use the following URL: Biography/ BackgroundAssociate Professor Bo Jin is an internationally educated and well established engineering scientist in the areas of biochemical engineering, biotechnological process, metabolic engineering, fermentation technology and wastewater treatment. Dr Jin has over 20 year professional experience employed as a research engineer, senior manager and academic staff in Australia, China and the Netherlands. Dr JinâTMs specific expertises include the selection of microorganisms to meet specific bioprocesses, characterization and description of enzymatic and metabolic activities in simultaneous saccharification and fermentation process, biotransformation and bioconversion process, and optimization and modelling of biochemical engineering processes. He has had solid experiences in the design, optimization and scale-up of bioreactor systems in submerged fermentation, biochemical processes and wastewater treatment. He has contributed substantial high quality papers to international refereed journals in the fields of environmental biotechnology, bioprocess engineering, applied microbiology, fermentation technology and biological wastewater treatment.Dr. Jin has taken a joint position as a Leader of Wastewater Research Unit in Australian Water Quality Centre, South Australian Water Corporation (SA Water) since 2004. Dr Jin is an editorial board member of three international refereed journals and an adjunct professor of 5 overseas institutions. .
