Biography/ Background

My background is as a research scientist investigating the impact of dietary fats on ovarian cellular function. I am now part of the Research Branch's Health Sciences team. We administer the funding applications and awards for all health/biomedical research sponsors including:

The Research Branch communicates with these sponsors on behalf of the research community, and coordinates the review and submission of applications, acceptance of successful awards and establishment of new projects. We also help researchers with the conditions of their funding, such as reporting requirements. In managing these projects, the Research Branch liaise with Research Accounting (for GL code creation, invoicing and financial acquittals), Legal Counsel (review and negotiation of funding  and collaborative research agreements) and Research Information/Systems Management (entry of data to Research Master and ORBIT).

You can contact the Health Sciences team by emailing raohealth@adelaide.edu.au. I am able to support to researchers wanting to identify funding opportunities, and am most happy to offer advice to early career researchers, or new University employees, about how the Research Branch can assist their research endeavours.

I also play netball, support the Port Adelaide Football Club and have a weimaraner named Walter.
