Professor Christian Gericke
Biography/ Background
Christian Gericke is Professor of Public Health Policy and Director of the Centre for Health Services Research at The University of Adelaide, and Co-Director of the Australian Institute of Health Policy Studies. He is also a full faculty member of the Berlin University of Technology Faculty of Economics and Management and an Honorary Fellow of the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies - a partnership between WHO, the World Bank, European Investment Bank, European Governments and academic institutions.
Prior to his appointment in Australia he was Associate Professor and Deputy Head of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Health Systems Research and Management, Berlin University of Technology, and has experience working as a public health physician for the U.K. National Health Service in Cambridge, and as a management consultant for McKinsey & Company. He has also acted as adviser to the German Agency for Technical Cooperation (GTZ), the European Commission, WHO, and the World Bank.
