Dr Daniel Navarro
Research Interests
My research interests are in the fields of computational cognitive science, mathematical psychology and statistics. Among other things, I’m interested in how people acquire new concepts, how this knowledge is structured, and how people make use of this information to make inductive inferences. My research usually focuses on similarity, categorisation and decision-making, but I have interests in language acquisition and visual perception. I have interests in applied statistics as well as cognitive science, relating to Bayesian statistics and information theory in particular. Every now and then I do some applied research, which in the past has included projects relating to defence, petroleum and telecommunications industries. Of course, like most people in science, I have latent interests in many topics, so this list changes over time. You can find more details at my lab webpage
