Biography/ Background

I initially trained as a Horticulturalist in Sydney and subsequently ran my own garden design business maintaining private home gardens.

10 years ago I returned to Adelaide my home town, to work for a government funded organisation called Wetland Care Australia as Sponsorship and Promotions Consultant to raise awareness of the benefits of wetlands in Sth Australia. I then gained a position as an Administrator for the Upper South East Programme at the Department of Water, Land and Biodiversity at the Waite Institute and prior to this was Executive Assistant to the Director, Forestry SA at their Adelaide office. Part of my role was to travel by light aircraft to their Head Office in Mt Gambier for meetings and if the weather was windy it was often a bumby ride!

I have been employed as Executive Assistant at the Joanna Briggs Institute since 2007 and prior to this, was Personal Assistant to the Head of the Mental Health Research Outcomes Unit (MHROU) at the Department of Health based at Glenside.
