Biography/ Background

Josh McCarthy is a lecturer in digital media with specific interests in animation, interactive design and digital art. He teaches within the Bachelor of Design Studies and Masters in Design with Digital Media programs in the School of Architecture, Landscape Architecture and Urban Design.

His research interests revolve around student learning outcomes within various fields of design, specific to digital media. In 2006 he published three papers regarding the restructure of digital media within the Bachelor of Design Studies program. In 2007 he won an OCS grant to attend and present at Ascilite 2007 in Singapore. In 2008 his research will study the benefits of online social networks in integrating new international students into our school.

Josh is also the co-director of SkyMatrix Pty Ltd, an Adelaide based company delivering digital solutions to local and international clients.
