Mr Juan Pablo Livore
Biography/ Background
I finished my Licenciado degree at the Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2005, with a thesis on reproduction and growth of the purple clam Amiantis purpurata. Started my PhD candidature, under Sean Connell's supervision in February 2007 thanks to a ASI scholarship.
Research Interests
My ongoing research is focused on the interactions between sea urchins and macroalgae in different communities along temperate Australia. This involves areas with dissimilar natural and human influenced characteristics. There are many factors that can be influencing sea urchin distribution and behavior, therefore it is vital to obtain more knowledge on the effects these variables have on them. By understanding the mechanisms, we can better manage the resources.
