Biography/ Background

Kim Davidson is the Director, Academic Quality Assurance. She has extensive experience of the tertiary sector, specifically in the areas of quality assurance, strategic planning, performance measurement and analysis, compliance, policy development (institutional and national) and learning material development. In the course of her career she has held academic and professional positions at seven universities in Australia, the UK and South Africa.

Kim initially joined the University of Adelaide in 2002. She spent a year at the University of South Australia as Deputy Director, Research and Innovation Services after which she returned to the University and her current position, in January 2009. As Director, Academic Quality Assurance, Kim provides high level executive and management support to the PVC(L&Q) and is also responsible for the Quality and Reviews unit, which facilitates and contributes to a systematic and structured approach to quality assurance processes at the University of Adelaide.

As a Course Assessment Panel member for the Department of Further Education, Employment, Science and Technology (SA Government), she has also contributed to the registration and accreditation processes of HEPs in South Australia.
