Biography/ Background

I completed a Bachelor of Nursing at Flinders Uiversity and following this I worked for a number of years in the clinical setting. My specific clinical expereince and expertise is in the field of cardiac nursing and in 2000 I competed a Graduate Diploma of Nursing Science (Cardiac).

I am committed to the philosphy of evidence-based practice and after a number of years in the clinical setting moved into health care research. While I am interestd in both quanitative and qualitative research my specific area of interest lies in the systematic reviews of evidence. I recently completed my PhD where I undertook a discursive analysis examining the use of qualitative findings as evidence, specifically in relation to their role in systematic reviews.
