Biography/ Background

Lalitha has a background in Applied Linguistics and has taught English for Academic and Specific Purposes both in Malaysia and Australia. Lalitha holds a Masters in English as a Second Language, a Bachelor of Education (Teaching of English as a Second Language) (Hons) and a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education. Her role in the Discipline of Higher Education is to lecture on the Integrated Bridging Program-Research, to conduct researcher education and development workshops and to assist international postgraduate research students to participate fully in their disciplinary communities. Lalitha also serves on the Pre-Enrolment Program (PEP) screening panel at the University of Adelaide.

Research Interests

English Language teaching and learning, postgraduate supervision, researcher education, higher education promotional media discourse, international postgraduate student perspectives, the internationalization of higher education.
