Biography/ Background

Laura Hardefeldt graduated from Murdoch University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. From 2004 to 2006 she worked in private practice in Victoria before completing an internship in Equine Medicine and Surgery at The University of Sydney Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Following her internship, Laura completed a residency in Large Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin, USA. In 2010 she attained diplomat status with the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine and is a specialist in Large Animal Internal Medicine.

Laura is a keen hockey player, enjoys gardening and cycling.

Research Interests

Currently pursuing a PhD in interventions to prevent glucose resistance and obesity due to fetal growth restriction (sheep model of human disease)

Neonatal encephalopathy
