Worked as a mixed animal practitioner in Sarina, North QLD for 8 years then moved to Mudgee, NSW to continue as a mixed animal practitioner. Took up a position in 2009 with the Tablelands Livestock Health and Pest Authority based in Bathurst as a district verinarian investigating production animal health diseases and implementing management strategies. Enrolled in a Masters of Veterinary Science offered by University of Sydney in 2011 to investigate the production and financial impact of internal parasites in beef cattle on the Tablelands of NSW, with particular emphasis on a summer drench targeting the inhibited stages of Ostertagia ostertagi.
