Mrs Mary Gonzalez

Mary Gonzalez is a Lecturer of Petroleum Engineering and the Engineering Honours & Design Academic Co-ordinator for ASP at the University of Adelaide, Australia.
She joined the Australian School of Petroleum in 2009 after several years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Most recently as head of the Adelaide office for Advanced Well Technologies (AWT), where she provided practical Petroleum Engineering Consultancy Services and Solutions in the areas of Subsurface and Production Engineering. Previous to that, Mary worked for PDVSA E&P, and PDVSA Intevep (Technological Division of National Venezuelan Oil Co) in several production, facilities, and reservoir engineering roles. In her career she has been exposed to a vast diversity of projects, clients, and environments. She has excellent abilities in the areas of leadership, mentoring, supervision, consulting and business objectives.
Qualifications
1. BSc in Petroleum Engineering (Zulia University, Venezuela), 2000. 2. Post-Graduate degree in Petroleum Engineering (Central de Venezuela University, Venezuela), 2004.

Mary's expertise is in: • Well productivity modelling and optimisation for Underbalanced / Overbalanced vertical / deviated, and horizontal wells. Recent clients include: Santos Limited, Tag Oil, Chevron, Bow Energy, Hardman Resources, APT, 3D Oil, Nexus, Petronas, Beach Petroleum, Vermilion, Origin, etc.
