Biography/ Background

Mike Seyfang joined the University in 2008 as a Social Media Consultant with a passion for Research, Teaching and Learning.

Mike has been experiencing and modeling effective use of emerging technology for learning and teaching as he re-imagines his own career. His experience with the creative/disruptive forces that have transformed the Information and Communication Technology industry is providing valuable insights to clients. A number of cutting edge projects have broadened the horizons of online communication for research institutes and serve as valuable indicators to Universities worldwide that are bracing for the next wave of disruptive innovation. These indicators may well provide the means for successful adaption to the changes the education sector will soon face. The expertise drawn from Mike's extensive back catalog of consulting projects is currently helping members of the music industry as it is being transformed online and has guided many Information and Communication Technology companies in the past.
