Biography/ Background

Dr Nadya Baryshnikova joined University of Adelaide in 2006 after completing her PhD in Economics from Brown University in Providence, RI.

Teaching Interests

Econometrics and Applied Econometrics. I have taught Advanced Econometrics (V), Econometrics (IV), Topics in Applied Econometrics (III and IIID) and Introduction to Mathematical Economics (Advanced) I. In Semester 1, 2012 I will be teaching Econometrics IV. I have also supervised PhD students, Honours, Masters of Applied Economics and Masters of Economics dissertations.

I am a Post Graduate Coordinator (Grad Dip., Grad Cert. and Masters coursework programs).

Research Interests

Theoretical and applied econometrics with the focus on instrumental variables (IV), tests that are robust to weak instruments, generalized empirical likelihood (GEL) and dynamic panel data. I am also interested in microeconomic applications in the fields of development economics, environmental economics and health economics.
