  • Biography/ Background

    Nigel is a Certified Practising Marketer and adjunct lecturer for The University of Adelaide, School of Professions and regularly lectures for various graduate schools and universities throughout Australia and overseas.

    Nigel has taught a wide range of subjects including, Strategic Marketing, International Marketing, Consumer Behaviour, Marketing Communications, Brand Management and Marketing Planning Project.

    Following his move from the UK in 1997 where Nigel held a range of marketing positions, he gained his Masters in Marketing from Charles Sturt University. Nigel now focuses most of his attention on academic lecturing and undertakes many classes for The University of Adelaide. Nigel is co-author on a leading Australian, Integrated Marketing Communications text as well as regularly teaching for many leading Australian and European institutions.

  • Professional Interests

    Before coming to The University of Adelaide, Nigel gained over 10yrs experience in marketing working for multinational organisations such as Unilever, WMC and the Clyde Group in roles including Marketing Communications Manager, Product Manager, Brand Manager and Marketing Administration Manager.

    Nigel is a Certified Practising marketer with the Australian Marketing Institute and along with his lecturing commitments Nigel is also the proprieter of an Adelaide based marketing consultancy with clients being a host of local small to medium size businesses and have included: Australian Paper Products, Monarch Engineering, JP Pistons, Speakman and Associates, Australian Mineral Foundation, South Australia Chamber of Mines and Energy, and TAFE SA

    Nigel also regularly provides professional training programmes which are often designed specifically to meet client requirements but include; Marketing Plan Development; Client Relationship Marketing and How to adopt a marketing philosophy within your organisation.
