Research Interests

Modelling biological motion processing. Specifically the calculations of self-motion and the tracking of small targets in complex backgrounds under realistic lighting conditions.

Community Engagement

I regularly host tours of the laboratory to interested school groups. These events included a discussion about science in general, including real world applications, as well as specifics about medical research and visual neuroscience. Students enjoy literally seeing the world from the perspective of a fly and also learning about how their eyes work very differently to modern cameras.
