Biography/ Background

I have a strong background in science and science research methods - with both a BSc (Hons)and a PhD in Neuroscience. I have extensive experience in international collaboration and have held postdoctoral research positions in the UK, USA and Australia. In recent years I have expanded my research interests to include evidence based healthcare - with a focus on quantitative research methods and systematic review writing. I have a special affection for systematic reviews of laboratory diagnostic test accuracy.

I have been involved in teaching various quantitative research methods for almost a decade, spanning three continents.

I have been involved with my local community  - as a SCUBA diving instructor - for fun and for research for many years. I have recently become involved in our local community as a Surf Life Saver, following attainment of the Bronze Medallion.
