Biography/ Background

Sue commenced nursing as a student at the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH) in January 1984.  In 1987, Sue was registered as a nurse and completed the RAH's Advanced Nursing Course.  An interest in education developed and Sue completed a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) whilst working part-time as a Registered Nurse.  Upon completion of the B.Ed Sue embarked on a career in Intensive Care Nursing undertaking post graduate studies in this area which continued into Masters studies.  Sue worked as an Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Units of the Royal Adelaide Hospital and at Calvary Wakefield Hospital where she still maintains clinical practice.  Her interest in education did not wane and therefore she ventured into uindergraduate education of nurses, firstly at Flinders University, spent a short time in the Medical Learning and Teaching Unit, at the University of Adelaide before settling into her current position of Lecturer and Coordinator of Year 3 in the undergraduate program in the School of Nursing, the University of Adelaide.
