I was born and raised in Rome, but, after some travelling around, I received my BA Hons. (First Class and University Medal) from the University of New South Wales, in Sydney, and my D. Phil in Politics and International Relations from the University of Oxford, where I also held a Lectureship in Politics at Worcester College. I have also taught at other universities in the Uk and Australia before joining the University of Adelaide in 2010.
My research interests are mainly in contemporary political theory. I am interested in global distributive and political justice and global governance. More specifically, I have written on the normative theory and governance of migration, and particularly on temporary migration. I am also interest in feminist theory, at this point mainly in relation to health policy. I am a founding member of the Global Justice Network, and one of the editors of its journal. I have published on journals such as Journal of Political Philosophy and Review of International Studies.
