- Computational Magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) (Simulation of plasma instabilities, arcs and plasma thrusters, Numerical methods for MHD, Plasma turbulence)
- Theoretical MHD (MHD shock dynamics and interactions, asymptotic analysis, analysis of plasma instabilities)
- Hypersonics (Scramjets, Shock and expansion tube flows, Rarefied gas dynamics)
- Computational Fluid Dynamics (Compressible flow simulations, Discontinuous Galerkin methods, Compact finite difference methods)
