Biography/ Background

From the Mekong Delta, Southern Vietnam, Vinh came to Adelaide in 2000, being a winner of the prestigious Adelaide Achiever Scholarship International. Vinh completed a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Marketing and International Business in 2002, and graduated from the Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Marketing as the Bernie Mills medallist in 2004. Vinh joined the Marketing Discipline as an Associate Lecturer in 2006.

Vinh is currently the lecturer in charge of International Marketing III and International Marketing (M) and coordinates Advanced Theory in Marketing (Honours) seminars. Vinh is also the contact person for students interested in undertaking the Honours program in Marketing.

Vinh qualified for the award of Doctor of Philosophy under the supervision of Professor Pascale Quester - Executive Dean of the Facculty of the Professions, and Dr Chris Medlin - Associate Head (Assurance of Learning) in the Business School. Vinh investigated the antecedents of contractual and relational governance mechanisms as well as their roles in determining the international performance of Australian services exporters. His PhD project was a finalist and received an honourable mention in the 2007 Business Marketing Doctoral Dissertation Award Competition by the Institute for the Study of Business Markets at the Pennsylvania State University. Vinh has also been awarded a number of research and conference grants for this project from the Business School, the Developpment and Alumi Office, the Exporters' Club, the Academy of International Business, and the American Marketing Association Services Interest Group.
