How to make an appointment

You can make an appointment by contacting us on 8313 5962 or via email to disability@adelaide.edu.au.

The administration staff may be able to answer your questions. If you need further assistance, they will book an appointment for you with the Disability Advisor (DA), usually within two weeks.

They can assist with information and advice about accessing services. There are some times in the year when they become very busy so to help you have the most appropriate arrangements in place when you begin your studies, please consider making contact early in the academic year.

Appointments are available Monday to Friday between 9.00am and 4.00pm.

Before you come to your first appointment, make sure you bring all the appropriate documentation.

Roseworthy students can also contact the Roseworthy Student Advisor directly on 8313 7932 or rsa@adelaide.edu.au.

Stories from our students

"Due to the nature of my disability, there were times when I found university difficult. I didn’t always understand the concepts presented in lectures, and the workload would often be more than I could handle.  In the second year of my studies, a case worker referred me to the Disability Service and I must admit that I found it quite daunting to begin with.

"However, as I look back on my time at the University of Adelaide, I wouldn’t have succeeded as I did without the assistance of the Disability Services. The staff at the office, including the Disability Advisor, were there to assist me and they were always friendly and approachable.

"This service is free, completely confidential and can go a long way to help you with your studies, whatever course you are undertaking.   As a student with a disability, it is important to be aware that there is help available on campus, and the services provided by the DA can enrich your time at university and help you reach your full academic potential."
