Disability Service

The University of Adelaide Australia

Stories from our students

"I was quite nervous when I first went to the Disability Service, having had some negative experiences dealing with equivalent offices during my school career.

"However, my Disability Advisor was friendly and welcoming and never once judged me because of my learning disability. After providing documentation about my learning disability, it was never mentioned again; we only discussed the amendments requied to help me achieve at my full potential."

Finding out who to talk to

If you would like to organise an appointment, the first step is to contact the Disability Service:

One of the Student Support Officers will help you out, or book an appointment with a Disability Advisor (DA).

When you have an appointment with a DA, we will go through ways we could help you manage your specific needs.  Do not forget to bring along the right information to help us help you (our checklist will help).
