The Division comprises
- the Office of the DVC&VP(A) which includes the portfolio areas of the Pro-Vice Chancellor (International), the Pro-Vice Chancellor (Learning and Quality), the Dean of Postgraduate Coursework and Academic Director of Singapore Campus, Strategy, Planning and Recruitment and Major Projects and Development.
- Student Services which includes Student Support Services, Student Administrative Services, and the Student Centre.
- The Centre for Learning and Professional Development, Professional and Continuing Education and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education: Wilto Yerlo.

Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor & Vice-President (Academic)
Portfolio of the Pro Vice-Chancellor (International)Under the leadership of the PVC(I), staff in this portfolio facilitate the development of strategic alliances and collaborative agreements with international partners including articulation, twinning and off-shore teaching arrangements, develop international policy, and monitor the welfare, progress and academic achievements of international students.
The International Office also comes under this portfolio and is responsible for international student recruitment and marketing, international student admissions and the administration of study abroad and exchange programs. | |
Portfolio of the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Learning & Quality)The focus of the PVC(L&Q)’s portfolio is on quality assurance in learning and teaching and academic support for staff and students. The Quality and Reviews Unit and the Centre for Learning and Professional Development report to the PVC(L&Q). | |
Dean, Postgraduate CourseworkThe Dean, Postgraduate Coursework is responsible for implementing the recommendations of the Postgraduate Coursework Working Party, and facilitating the development and marketing of new programs in line with the University’s strategy for expansion.
As part of the commitment towards achieving the expansion strategy for the postgraduate student cohort, the University recently offered the first suite of entirely Online Postgraduate Coursework Programs. | |
Academic Director, SingaporeThe Academic Director provides oversight and leadership for the academic activities undertaken in Singapore, including quality assurance, student experience and program development. | |
Major Projects and DevelopmentThe main role of the Major Projects and Development team is to operationalise the strategies of the DVC&VP(A) including the implementation of the Education Plan. Major Projects and Development provides executive support for University Committees and Working Parties, oversees the Divisional budget, manages the Summer and Winter School, produces the University Calendar, and supports the development of academic and student related policies. It also has responsibilities in the international portfolio including managing the international agreements database and the Latin America strategy. The assessment of business opportunities and managing the relationship with University pathway partners are also the responsibility of Major Projects and Development. | |
Strategy, Planning and Recruitment
Strategy and PlanningStrategy and Planning is responsible for coordination of the University's planning processes, this includes preparing University performance reports, co-ordinating the University’s statutory reporting obligations, load management, benchmarking, and the operation of the University’s strategic planning and implementation and performance reporting framework. Strategy and Planning is also responsible for the development of business intelligence tools to assist with the above. | |
Prospective Students OfficeThe Prospective Student Office is responsible for student recruitment activities in Australia, and the development and production of student publications. The Office has a promotional and events management focus and liaises closely with secondary schools and their students. | |
Access and ParticipationThe Access and Participation unit is responsible for coordinating the development of new policies and practices that assist the University in responding vigourously to Commonwealth Government policies on access and participation in higher education.
The Access and Participation unit's primary concern is the development and implementation of access and participation initiatives, particularly in the Northern Suburbs and Spencer Gulf area, and the development and maintenance of relationships and partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Student Services and Administration
Student Administrative ServicesStudent Administrative Services is responsible for admissions, enrolments and student records, undergraduate scholarships, examinations, graduations, student finance and student grievance resolution. Timetabling and Peoplesoft system configuration and support are also managed by Student Administrative Services. | |

Student Support ServicesStudent Support Services comprises the International Student Centre, Accommodation Services, the Transition Unit, Counselling, Disability and Elite Athlete Services and Career Service. The aim of this unit is to aid in transition to and from University, and to provide assistance to students during their academic studies. | |
Student CentreThe Student Centre is an information service and the main enquiry point for prospective domestic and international students. It incorporates Card Services and manages the Student Ambassadors Scheme. | |
Academic Support for Staff & Students
Centre for Learning & Professional DevelopmentThe CLPD provides development programs to enhance student learning, staff teaching and staff development through research and the provision of educational services, resources and consultancies. CLPD is also responsible for MyUni and the evaluation of student learning. | |
Professional & Continuing EducationPCE provides educational and training programs, seminars and workshops for participants from the community, professions, business and industry. PCE incorporates the English Language Centre which provides English language programs, cultural programs and English teacher training services (TESOL) for international students and visiting groups from offshore institutions. | |
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education: Wilto YerloAboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education: Wilto Yerlo is responsible for recruiting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to the University's foundation and degree programs from secondary schools in the metropolitan and regional areas, administering the Special Entry Access Scheme and providing support services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and staff in the University, overseeing the Indigenous Employment Strategy and the delivery of the University Foundation Studies Program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. | |
