Academic Director, Singapore

Ngee Ann-Adelaide Education Centre

Ngee Ann-Adelaide Education Centre (NAAEC) is a joint venture between two of the oldest and most respected institutions in the Asia Pacific region: the Ngee Ann Kongsi and the University of Adelaide. The Ngee Ann Kongsi is a foundation which is actively involved in educational, cultural and welfare activities at NAAEC. Founded in 1845 by Chinese immigrants, the Ngee Ann Kongsi has grown from a community bound by a common heritage and genuine concern for the welfare of its members to a foundation that now serves the community regardless of race, religion or social status.

The vision of the partners is to provide a high quality educational facility at NAAEC combining under-graduate and post-graduate academic programs with applied executive and professional development courses taught by experienced consultants and professionals.

Role of the Academic Director

The Academic Director has a coordinating and leadership role in the academic activities undertaken in Singapore and in the expansion of teaching programs and student numbers at NAAEC.

Key responsibilities include:

  • liaison with program coordinators to ensure the quality of the curriculum and student experience;
  • assisting in the identification and development of new programs for the NAAEC;
  • establishing and maintaining relationships with the public and private sector in Singapore, including the polytechnic sector and other universities.
  • supporting the development of NAAEC as a regional centre of excellence for undergraduate and postgraduate education.
