Sustainable Research Excellence
Sustainable Research Excellence (SRE) is a Federal Government initiative to support the indirect costs of Australian Competitive Grant research. The University of Adelaide is required to participate in SRE in order to gain access to millions of dollars of funding, that will help provide ongoing research infrastructure and critical funding for new research initiatives. |
The Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research (DIISR) has advised the University that, as part of the SRE block grant funding requirements, we need to undertake a staff survey intended to identify the time spent by university staff conducting Australian Competitive Grant Research, as per last year. The survey results will help determine our SRE income levels.
DIISR have highlighted that once again a minimum return rate of 67% will be mandatory for the staff survey. In 2010 the University’s research community put in a considerable effort and we had an excellent response rate from eligible researchers. In 2011 we hope to achieve similar results.
All staff on continuing or fixed-term contracts who undertake research will be required to participate in the survey which will be conducted from Tuesday 14th June - Monday 27th June 2011.
