Nottingham Attractions

Nottingham is the cultural and commercial capital of the East Midlands and is located right in the centre of England; the city's conurbation is home to around 750,000 people. As one of the country's 'core cities', it plays a distinctive role in the UK's national and regional economic growth. It is easily accessible by air, rail or car.

Nottingham has some impressive architecture and buildings dating back to the 1100s have been built in the City. Victorian Nottingham saw a building boom with many grand buildings being built as a result of the City's 19th century importance as an industrial centre. The central focal point of the City is Old Market Square which is the largest market square in the UK and is flanked by the imposing Nottingham Council House.
